Monoprint is a printmaking process, which incorporates printmaking, painting and drawing, using a variety of techniques to create a unique one-of-a-kind print. No two prints are exactly the same. The image is developed on a flat plate with oil or water based mediums, and then transferred to another surface, usually paper.

The transfer can be made by hand or with a press. I use an etching press, in which the plate and paper are placed on the press bed and mechanically moved under rollers to produce a print.
